TackTick system - NMEA interface
#1
All,

Is there a proud owner of a TackTick system on this forum?

If so, maybe you can help me with my configuration. I have:

1. Hull Transmitter (T121)
2. 2 display units (T110)
3. No NMEA interface (yet)

My questions

1. Does the NMEA interface pull wireless data from the T121 and wind sensor?
2. Are you able to pull if off the NMEA interface

Hope somebody has experience with this (rather old) system.

Thanks,

Bart

You need a T122 - Wireless interface

Or if you have a NMEA2000 network, then there is a Microtalk to NMEA2000 gateway.

That is what I use to get wind data to my autopilot.

In terms of the depth sounder, in my mind it makes sense to get rid of the tacktick and get an active one instead. The tacktick hull sensor/sender although is supplied with 12v power actually runs on 3.2 - from the batteries. Once the batteries die, it don't work. The batteries are €70 each time they need changing.
