Pypilot on motorboat
#1
Marine newbie here.

Planning to buy a boat and as a open source/computer nerd I quickly found Openplotter and Pypilot. Pypilot seems to be developed on a/for sailboats and most (all?) installations are on sailboats. Are there any motorboat users out there?  How is it working? I guess it is way more complicated to calculate courses for a sailboat. Would that make the autopilot too complex for a small (~20 ft) motorboat?

on Sea the Pypilot should work - even without wind sensors.
But don´t try it on small rivers.
