opto-isolated UART
#1
Hello,

Does anyone know an alternative for the CPC5001 as used by Sean on the Tinypilot serial connection?
I don't have a suitable optocoupler in my parts bin.
Mouser does stock them but minimum order and shipping are cost prohibitive.
I am using a logic level converter which seems to work fine.
But I'd rather use an optical  isolator.

Thanks, Harry

I've been using an Si8621.

Isolation is via internal RF, not light.  Seems to work ok.
