Hydraulic controller and LS drive unit
#11
Hi

I think it is now working, I think it was the slightly dodgy test wiring Smile, The clutch seemed to be cutting out when the ram started moving. I have re rigged everything now seem to be getting a full range of movement on the ram, so now I just need to fit it in the boat to try it out, unfortunately probably not till spring.

Is there a consolidated guide on the site to amending the gain and config settings?

I did manage to blow the 10 amp fuse on the controller whilst playing around with the servo.min_speed and period, not sure why

Thanks

blowing the fuse sounds unfortunate. What did you set the max current to?

It could be that the motor controller is a bit under powered for hydraulic pumps. I should have a high power version available next month.

Not sure sorry, ,I will have a play and see if I can repeat the effect

It has been working smoothly since, but as said no load yet, I will try to simulate load and see how it goes. I will keep an eye out for your new controller
