GPS Garmin
#1
Hello,

I'm quite new to Openplotter, so it might be a dumb question. I would like to receive my Garmin 158 GPS data on my raspberry.

The connexion scheme is :Garmin P12

And I bought this converter RS422/485 to USB converter : converter

I connected the white wire to the RX+ and the green wire to the TX+. I have 0 symbol coming through my usb port. Do I need to connect something on the TX- RX-? Or do I need another converter?

Thanks for your job !

I think you might have a small wiring issue. TX+ and TX- are the transmit pair. RX+ and RX- are the receive pair. Some of the USB-RS422 converters have "A" and "B" connections. Try connecting to those, if you have them. So, Garmin TX+ and TX- to your converter's A and B.
