Radar detector AIS (RTL-SDR)
#1
There used to be some stand alone ship radar detectors on the market but I havent seen any recently. I am hoping to build a simple system for one purpose only: an audible alarm when commercial ship AIS signal detected by RTL-SDR dongle and antenna. I have no need of complex plotting software etc. Just an alarm. Prefer open source.  Prefer Linux but Windows possible if no Linux software available. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Since some of the radar frequencies are close to WiFi frequencies, I think your challenge is going to be differentiating between WiFi and radar. Sensors are available from various Chinese vendors.
