move from Pi3 to Pi4
#1
Hi Everyone,
I would like to know if anyone move the SD card from Pi3 to Pi4 without any new installation.
I'm wondering if it will work.
I have my Pi3 with OP2 that works well and I would like to improve the performarce with the Pi4.

What do you think?
Thanks
Max

Hello
Simply changing the plug does NOT work defensively !!
I have tested it.

just copy the SDcard and plug it into the pi4 - easy to test, if it works flawlessly depends also from your OP configuration (Moitessier hat or not etc).

You should have no problem. I do that continuously while developing.
If you have latest OP2 version it will boot on RPi3 and 4. Old OP and Raspbian versions will not boot on RPi4.
When you run OP in RPi4 openGL is enabled by default.

Did it work? I bricked my pi3 and was thinking about  upgrading.

They make a USB dongle for exactly that reason; it works really well.
