USB device for Pitch, Heel...?
#1
I'm trying to find an external USB device that I can use to get sensory data like temp, pressure, pitch, heel, wind etc.  Basically the local environment.  I already have the dAISy hat which I believe means I can't use a hat device hence why I'm looking for USB.

the moitessier hat has both ais and imu.

you are better off using usb for AIS and a hat for the imu. This is because usb has a longer delay and this lag can significantly degrade the performance of these sensors especially if the fusion is performed on the pi.

Does the daisy use the i2c pins? it probably does not and you could stack imu on with it.
