Didier look at your longitude:

1601549247056;N;$GNGLL,4848.73073,N,002nn.n3016,W,104727.00,A,D*6B
1601549248054;N;$GNRMC,104728.00,A,4848.73080,N,002nn.n2963,W,0.991,,011020,,,D*78

what is that?

you should try to read data directly from your device before sending to signal k to check if your longitude is ok.

I explain in the file (2 first lines) that as I  had to use an external unknown site I didn't wanted to let My position displayed:

In this file my coordinates have been replaced with : 47n.nnnxyz,N,002nn.nxyzt,W
where x, y, z, & t are the original figure

I couldn't attach the file to a PM, nor to a post, not even include it in a code structure
Sorry for adding confusion in !

@Sailoog

FYI, as I am using an USB HDD, I had to update the firmware by these commands to allow the USB Boot:
          sudo apt update
          sudo apt upgrade
          sudo rpi-update
          sudo apt install rpi-eeprom
          sudo rpi-eeprom-update -d -f /lib/firmware/raspberrypi/bootloader/stable/pieeprom-2020-07-31.bin

I dont know if it may have any impact on the freeze phenomenon ...

about wrong latitude: ops, ok.

about update firmware:

WARNING: Pre-release versions of software are not guaranteed to work. You should not use rpi-update on any system unless recommended to do so by a Raspberry Pi engineer. It may leave your system unreliable or even completely broken. It should not be used as part of any regular update process.

OMG, I have done the same thing (sudo apt install rpi-eeprom) long ago. Is this the case we have problems now? I have reinstalled the whole system 2-3 times since that with '2020-03-24-OpenPlotter-v2-Moitessier-HAT.img' and I thought it contains the correct EEPROM update that should be overwritten during installation. Can you confirm this? Or I need to roll back to the previous EEPROM version manually? Can you tell me how to do it, please? What version and where to download

We are talking about rpi-update (not eeprom update).

You can install the stable eeprom if you need but if you do rpi-update before updating the eeprom you will install the beta.

rpi-update will install the beta kernel and you should do that only if you know what you are doing. It is impossible to debug OpenPlotter/OpenCPN over a beta kernel because you can have unexpected errors everywhere. It is not easy downgrading from a beta kernel, you should start from scratch and never run rpi-update again.

Yes Sailoog, I know I did took the risk to fry my system, but it was the mandatory path to USB boot.

The good news is that kernel 5.4 got the approval, it is now shipped with the latest version of  Raspberry Pi OS.  2020-08-20  Cool

kernel version, after update & upgrade :
Code:
pi@Openplotter:~ $ uname -a
Linux Openplotter 5.4.51-v7l+ #1333 SMP Mon Aug 10 16:51:40 BST 2020 armv7l GNU/Linux
pi@Openplotter:~ $

I did ran rpi-update a few weeks ago, and I ran update + upgrade  earlier this afternoon.
