82 pages of users, at 60 users per page is about 5000.  Great news!

But the first 69 pages are of signups who have never posted, and with names like this, I'd say most are largely from SEO bots:

So I think it's more likely there are about 720 users.  Still, a good sized community, and what's more, a supportive place to get help!  That's worth coming back for.

Wishing the founders and mods all the best for continuing success  Big Grin

I've purged plenty of spammers as well.

I count 822 members with at least 1 valid post.

Culling this crap is thankless work. If you'd like any ongoing help with this, please let me know.

WTF! that is a huge amount of spammers. I never look at that list Angel

I can see some apparent legal users with 0 posts but the list of apparent spammers is really bigger.

We detect spammers only when they post and we purge them. 1 a day aprox, so not a lot of work. The first post is always moderated so this task is done silently by forum admins and it does not disturb the forum.

Spammers who never post do not bother, so it is not a big deal. Let this list grow and when we are thousands we can delete this thread and ask Raymarine to pay for advertising on such a popular forum Tongue Big Grin

Deleted more than 3000 users.
The filter was:
- 0 posts
- Any content in "Website URL" or "signature" fields (they do not post but they use these fields to promote junk sites)
or
- Previously banned
or
- Explicit avatar (sex and drugs)
