Not trying to press my luck, MG, but now that long touch works, I saw that you had, at one point, accomplished two finger zoom. If I can have only one, it's long touch. Can I do both?

Twofing with OpenCPN will have issues. It will work but with annoying bugs. 
I’ve turned it off on my boat and just used +/- icons. 

In chromium you have two finger zoom anyway.

for VPN on an iPad i use only "click with 2 Fingers".

this should work without any modifications on the server. 
but it took some time to find it out ;-)

Click is supposedly performed on one point. With two fingers
you have two points. How this possibly could work?
Especially if you need to click on some tiny object

with remote VNC i get "right click" in opencpn after an 2 finger tab. i like this.

Does it work around border of the screen?
Which coordinates does it use? Right or left finger of the touch?
