ESP8266/ESP32 provisioning

If there were a path to doing it, it would be handy if ESP8266 could be connected to the Pi via USB and provisioned from an Openplotter menu to provide various sensor data throughout the boat, and all server side and ESP side communications set up, without the user having to install and learn new IDEs and all of the other stuff.

This isn't a request that you do it, just a thought. It seems consistent with the mission to aggregate a number of open source initiatives into something more accessible and turnkey (or at least compared with starting from scratch).
