How Output NMEA data from Rpi?
#1
Hi All, I have a newbie question!

I have sensors, AIS and a usb GPS filling the SignalK with data and everything works brilliant on my OpenCpn.

However, I have a VHF radio on my boat that needs GPS data in NMEA format. I have a USB RS485 adapter but I am struggling to work out what the easiest way is to get the NMEA data out of my pi 4 and into my VHF radio.

Is it as easy as creating a Signal K data connection, pointing it to the usb and include some nmea0183 output events? Can anyone help?

Many thanks
Paul
