beta3 arm64 marine OS for raspberry PI 4 by BBN
#1
Third beta of arm64 marine OS for raspberry PI 4 by BBN is available for download.

Image download URL https://cloudsmith.io/~bbn-projects/repo...=lysmarine

Give it a try on your unused SD card laying around. In many ways it's a superset of OpenPlotter distribution even more tailored for marine applications.
Better touchscreen support. Many more marine apps than in default OpenPlotter image.
Could be interesting if some openplotter apps could be adapted for it. Example openplotter-i2c

Thanks for sharing and sorry for a maybe stupid question:
If I have only a tough screen connected via VNC to the raspi - will I then also benefit from better tough screen support?
Or in other words will this enable a 64bit environment with headless operation from e.g Android or Ipad device?

Well I played around a bit - cant call it testing.
Scenario: rpi4 4Mb with Moit-hat accessed via local wlan from a Samsung tablet.

got the VNC connection going but couldnt change the password. Could also not find where to configure keyboard, language etc or change the user from user to something more familiar to me.

two finder zooming and "mouseclick" by tapping is ok, but thats about it.

Could also not get any of the openplotter goodies working - specially cannot adddress the Moitessier hat.

Speed of Ocpn is impressiv - so the 64bit makes a real difference - but did not much testing so could find more limitations.

Hope this feedback helps.

Two finger is two points. Click is a one point.
How can you substitute a click on one point with 2 fingers?
