Ordered a RS422-USB converter from AMZN
DSD TECH USB 2.0 to RS485 Serial Data Converter CP2102 Adapter Compatible with Windows 7,8,10,Linux,Mac OS
They sent the WRONG PART (only 3 terminals , so Not Even Close)

Tried serial converter per advise above: fail
Amazon; DTECH USB to RS422 RS485 Serial Port Converter Adapter Cable with FTDI Chip Supports Windows 10 8 7 XP Mac -1.5 Feet
set at 9600 baud (Garmin 78sc default) with NMEA output enabled on th Garmin 78sc
DVM shows activity on the Garmin cable (green lead) AC volts, Hz
SERIAL finds and connects the USB adapter OK
NO data is being indicated in the DASHBOARD
