I've indeed been desigining an engine top hat: https://github.com/hatlabs/SH-ESP32-engine-hat. I've received the first proto batch a week ago but haven't had time to touch them because I've been trying to get the Sailor Hat for Raspberry Pis (https://hatlabs.github.io/sh-rpi/) out of the door. I'll get those shipments finished today and will then test the top hats to see how they fare. Given that it's the first proto batch, it's more likely than not that they contain some fatal faults. But we'll see. I'll let you know.
That reminds me of having to create a new thread for SH-RPi. As soon as I get the first batch shipped.
Yes, I'm checking out the SH-RPI, also. Was thinking to just CAN "straight in" to the RPi using a hat of some sort, instead of a converter. I really like the idea of all the power management features you put on this! Great work! Expect an order for one from me in a couple weeks, when I have more time to tear my Pi setup all down again! Fun stuff!
