General Newbie Questions..
#1
Hi,
I am very new to all of this. I am very interested in building a pypilot. I have done quite a bit of reading on this website already, and have the following questions:

1.  It looks like most of the information and know how about building a pypilot, is mostly all contained in threads that are old, and maybe somewhat dated and rehashed a number of times. Can someone please post a current interconnect schematic of the wiring for the entire system, relating to the most current iterations of hardware and code. A complete schematic (one complete drawing) showing the raspberry Pi, Arduino, Motor controller, and rudder feedback, GPIO Functions and all interconnect circuitry in a PDF file would be nice.

2. From my reading it seems that the Moitessier HAT 2, and well as the MPU 92xx series of IMU have been discontinued. What is the current IMU of choice? I have read about the Navio 2 HAT.  Is this compatible and tested with Open Plotter and Pypilot?

3. Is there a current preferred off the shelf motor controller?

Hi,
Marco Bergman has created a documentation on Github that should answer most of your questions

See the wiki for a diagram:
https://pypilot.org/wiki/doku.php

Also some schematics:
https://pypilot.org/schematics/

the recommended replacement for mpu9255 is icm20948

the preferred controller is available from the pypilot store, or you can build your own based on the schematics.
