NEED help on configuaration settings

After going through all the updating and setting procedures for serial, AIS, etc etc , every time I shut down my RPI 4, on reboot the settings are lost - back to where they were before.
Can anyone advise as to how the settings are saved. I can see no way to make this happen.

That's odd. Have a look at the OpenPlotter config file, found here:
/home/pi/.openplotter/openplotter.conf

That file should contain your current settings.
