Nexus <-> Nmea2000 <->Nmea0187
#1
Hi,

I have some different hardware on the boat. Some Garmin/Nexus things (log + wind) on their network, depth finder connected to a garmin plotter on Nmea0187. The plotter supports both Nmea0187 and Nmea2000.

I've looked around and to get the wind instrument into the plotter someone recommended a Garmin GND 10-box. My question is if you think it would be possible to skip this box and use something else in e.g. SignalK + OpenPlotter on Raspberry pi instead of the GND 10-box . Any ideas on my alterantives?

Kind regards,
f
