Helm based large touch screen
#1
I am looking for a helm based touchscreen for a sailing boat and interested in peoples experience.  I am looking for a 12-15" screen that is waterproof, sunlight readable and dimmable.

I have looked at the following:

Xenarc 1219GNH 12.1" IP67 Rugged Sunlight Readable Optical Bonded Capacitive Touchscreen LCD Display Monitor with HDMI
it is fully submersible, 1000Nit with a touchscreen that works for Raspberry Pi and they already have screens on 2 America's cup boats.  They suggest the shade that they sell to help stop it from over heating in direct sunlight (on the screen).  resolution is 1280x800
https://www.xenarc.com/1219GNS-12.1-inch...utput.html
$1219

MEKT 15.6" IP65 Touch screen
From Aliexpress, no prior knowledge.  1080P, 1000Nit.  only IP 65 at the front - the back would have to be built into an enclosure
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050030...2913MSkfeB
$415

another option was a Samsung Galaxy Active Pro (Via VNC)
IP67 10.1" "sunlight readable (but 450nits)
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Ac...B07YNJD8J3
$600

I don't know, what does everybody think?  what are you using?
