BBN Marine Linux OS for Raspberry Pi
#1
Based on my experience with using openplotter and issues I've encountered I've build
BBN Marine Linux OS for Raspberry Pi. Nailing bugs and testing took almost two years and 38 releases on github.

I can say that now it is available for General Availability. Just as openplotter it is free and opensource.

2022-02-10-Release-Stable is available for downloads
Long Term Support Release 10.

Based on Buster

Changes:
  • Added solarthing
  • Added maiana AIS support via add-ons
  • Added OpenCPN config for higher resolution monitors
  • Fixes for log OpenCPN plugin
  • PyPilot updates
  • Mopidy youtube updates
  • Updates to SignalK
  • RPI firmware updates
  • Doc updates
Download at https://cloudsmith.io/~bbn-projects/repo...=lysmarine

Agree. Seems odd (if not unethical) to be on a forum for one system to promote what seems to be a competing product for another system.

On the other hand one of the great thing about FOSS software is that is can promote innovation through improvements. There are a few "marine" based RPI images floating around lately. OP is the best by far but even the best can still be improved.

With  openplotter  feature requests & bug reports forums here already just exactly for that purpose , full marks for anyone sharing their personal work  but on here might not be the place to shill your own projects    Undecided

I really like having "coopetitors" and all projects need them but unfortunately this does not seem to be the case...
