Outboard Hydraulic Steering Engine
#1
Hello,

After browsing all the threads in this forum for any potential leads for a medium-sized outboard engine autopilot that does not have a tiller I have come up empty. I am inspired by this group and am trying to find an open-source medium-sized outboard autopilot. I personally have a very specific use case that involves dredging with a work skiff that goes back and forth in straight lines much like a tractor. I've built drones and have a programming degree, so I appreciate any and all leads or suggestions. Hopefully, if anyone is in a similar "boat"(nice pun) as me they will find this thread via search and be directed somewhere helpful.

Mainly looking for help with the hardware as I'm no engineer; something along the lines of linear steering such as this thread but modified for outboard steering.

Everyone should check out AgOpenGPS:

I have posted an example of outboard steering rigging that I'm sure everyone is familiar with.
Thank You, to all the members here.
