Radar compatibility
#1
The guy on the boat next to me is selling a JRC 1000w scanner model JMA-1011. The conector has been cut off but i dont think it was an ethernet. The service manual gives lots of information https://www.manualslib.com/download/1991...mk-Ii.html just wondering if i can stick an ethernet plug on (and how to wire it) and be up and running?

Thanks
Mike

I it doesn't look like it. From the circuit diagram, it shows one of the cables in the scanner - display cable as coax. If it were Ethernet, that wouldn't be there.

The further challenge is that JRC radar isn't supported by radar_pi in OpenCPN.
