- ADS1115 (new - tested)
- BME280 (updated - tested)
- BMP280 (new - not tested)
- BMP3XX (new - not tested)
- HTU21D (new - tested)
- MS5607-02BA03 (old - tested)
- INA260 (new - not tested)

We have included a new system to allow customized settings for sensors and now it will be easier adding new ones. Please post here to suggest new sensors.

I went to the boat today, and the openplotter I2c 2.20 did not show as an update. Went through the usual steps to find updates to apps several times and it did not show. Usually updates, even Beta ones show. Maybe I missed something. would be willing to Beta test the version 3 openplotter if it will not work with the current ver 2.

Using the 32bit version downloaded in April of openplotter on a Pi 4b with the pican M hat and adafruit bme280 sensor. I have been searching on how to change the address to 76 for the BME280. appears to involve breaking a connection and resoldering. with bifocals and stiff fingers, a software solution is much appreciated.

Have the following sensors I' would like to add to the setup. Adafruit CCS811 Air Quality Sensor Breakout - VOC and eCO2 ,Carbon Monoxide Gas Sensor MQ-7

Thanks very much for working on this. deeply appreciated.

still having problems with the BME280. using the 2.2.1 version of I2C. I2C is turned on in the preferences section of the pi. Raspberry Pi 4b, 2 mb memory + pican m hat.
Chip is adafruit stemma I2C. Changed the address to 76 on the chip using adafruit instructions. Soldered a wire between grd and sdo pads.

Used Jay_cd33 solution.
"In the directory;
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/openplotterI2c
The file openplotterI2cRead.py needs to be edited. (sudo needed to edit file),

Change line 44 (in the BME280 section)
from:
import adafruit_bme280

to:
from adafruit_bme280 import basic as adafruit_bme280

(be aware the from is preceeded by 2 tabs not spaces)."

Saved and rebooted.
Still have no data transfer from the BME280.

Turned on the gpio, I wire in preferences. Rebooted, still no I2C data transfer. Did get pi temperature showing up. Which I wanted to have.
My settings match one of Jay_cd33 postings of 2022-03-03, 12:01 PM
No error messages.
Tried and tried and am getting nowhere. am I missing a step somewhere?
Thanks

Re BME280. tried everything in the forum more than once, and I still cannot get it to send data. even bought a new sensor. no difference. PI4b, pican-m hat, 32 bit buster version of the operating system, every part of openplotter is up to date.
Am now getting on the i2c panel at the bottom i2c enabled not running. must have missed something somewhere, but cannot find anything to turn on i2c. its enabled on the Pi .
wasted hours on it.
asked sk-pang about it, they sid its a signal k issue.
lots of screenshots of the setup, no idea how to include them.
