Garmin Fantom 18/24
#1
I purchased a new Garmin Fantom 18. I have the latest OpenPlotter 64bit Version 5.6.2 running on Pi 4b 8mb. I know I saw a Radar_pi plugin in earlier versions.

In this version it is not available. I would like to have the overlay capability on my Openplotter system. Any suggestions?

Well, I guess it's Time to purchase a GPSMap 7x3 and start capturing packets. Can't code, but damn sure have Wireshark and TCP Dump.

It appears Garmin has released Open-Source Software for Linux on the Fantom 18/24 Here: https://developer.garmin.com/downloads/o...ources.tar

Windows QT version Here: Windows and Mac | Open Source | Garmin Developers

All Garmin Open Source Files Here: Overview | Open Source | Garmin Developers

Update: I now have a GPSMap 743. I should be able to capture packets if requested. Has anyone looked at the Garmin OpenSource files linked above?
