openplotter-i2c 3.x.x released
#21
if you are installing OP 3 apps and OP 2 from packages you have sources for bullseye in cloudsmith and from Ubuntu focal in PPA but the worst thing is that lot of things changed for example OP 3 is no longer using services for its daemons and settings of OP 2 will never work with OP 3 as you have experimented. Anyway, please do not ask for support for that system because I can waste days trying to find pointless bugs.

Hello Sailoog ,
when do you think you have the ais1115 at the start?
Thank you and have a nice sunday...

Testet   INA219   , Voltage  OK  ,   Current NOT testet .

How about  INA3221  ?
Sailing in a LM23  23" motor sailor i Danmark  .  Mostly In Koege bay  .
Harbored  in SF-Syd  , Copenhagen .

@winkaj
great !
Do you have to enter parameters when setting up or does INA 219 run directly?
If parameters, can you post a screenshot Smile
I have now ordered one Smile)

it is only the first card which is working

the second card is a INA3221 , set to a chanel , but at the time being i dont have a set up to test it because , the whole board are ON shore .

Thanks for reporting!

We prioritize sensors supported by adafruit libraries because they are easy to implement and they can work multiplexed. Non adafruit python libraries like the INA3221 can still be implemented but we will consider them for a second round.

Signal K server communication has been improved. UDP connections are no longer used, now sensors send data by websockets.

An important new feature has been added, now you can multiplex sensors using multiple TCA9548A modules. This means that your sensors can share addresses: https://learn.adafruit.com/working-with-...2c-devices

This is the list of supported sensors and the implementation status:

INA219 (bus voltage, shunt voltage, current, power)
Status : Implemented and tested
Multiplexing: not tested yet
INA260 (voltage, current, power)
Status : Implemented but not tested yet
Multiplexing: not tested yet
BH1750 (illuminance)
Status : Implemented and tested
Multiplexing: not tested yet
BME680/688 (pressure, temperature, humidity, gas)
Status : Implemented and tested
Multiplexing: not tested yet
BME280 (pressure, temperature, humidity)
Status : Implemented and tested
Multiplexing: not tested yet
BMP280 (pressure, temperature)
Status : Implemented but not tested yet
Multiplexing: not tested yet
BMP3XX (pressure, temperature)
Status : Implemented but not tested yet
Multiplexing: not tested yet
BMP085/180 (pressure, temperature)
Status : Not implemented and deprecated
Multiplexing: incompatible
HTU21D (temperature, humidity)
Status : Implemented and tested
Multiplexing: not tested yet
LPS3X (pressure, temperature)
Status : Implemented but not tested yet
Multiplexing: not tested yet
MS5607-02BA03 (temperature, humidity)
Status : Implemented and tested
Multiplexing: incompatible
ADS1115 (analog to digital conversion)
Status : Not mplemented yet
Multiplexing: Not implemented yet
ADS1015 (analog to digital conversion)
Status : Not mplemented yet
Multiplexing: Not implemented yet

Please test and report here as usual. I will update this post with your feedback. If you have any issue or something does not work as expected, follow these steps before reporting:

- Go to OpenPlotter-Settings-System log and click "Debugging mode"
- Go to Accessories-Terminal
- Type openplotter-i2c and press enter
- Add your sensors and copy here any error message in the terminal

Enjoy Smile

I followed your instructions exactly, I am enjoying. Smile
Thank you for all of your work!

There is a dialog box in the edit function of I2C 3.1.0 sensor editor. titled "Settings".

There are columns titled "Sensor Settings" and "Magnitude Settings" obviously tied together. I assume they are for setting gain and things like that.

What is the syntax for using these options? Are there any examples?

Also
Working on installing a multiplexor.
Will let you know how things go.
Will be able to test with BPE688, INA218 and ADS115 (when available).

TIA
