Cannot connect to my box running OpenPlotter using VNC
#1
OpenPlotter's default VNC server (by RealVNC Limited) apparently prevents connection to my Rpi by anything other than its own client (VNC Viewer). This is a serious issue since Google Play tells me that the newest version of the viewer is incompatible with my two tablets.

Of course, I can install a different VNC server onto my Rpi but, then I wouldn't have the ability to make use of the OPenPlotter's convenient vnc links and icon. Or, is there some way of simply changing a configurtation line to restore this functionality while using a compatible vnc server?

* Perhaps consideration should be given to building OpenPlotter with a more "open" version of VNC so that this issue can be avoided.

There's more than one way to skin a Google...

I downloaded the current VNC Viewer app for Android from the RealVNC site onto my tablet. Then, I installed it. Scuccessfully. This is in spite of Google Play informing me that the app is not compatible with my device Dodgy .

Hi,

Agree with last answer, very often, when google says "Is not compatible", it really means : " we did not try with a device like yours, so we don't know if is compatible or not... up to you", best you can do is install the apk, and try, if it works, perfect, if not in few time RealVnc will do an update...
