Hey guys, trying to determine if i have a bug report or not.

My SignalK UUID changes every time i restart SignalK, i dont think is the right behaviour - but please advise.

What causes the UUID to change? i've been playing about with influxdb and grafana and something has caused the uuid to change that has caused an interesting duplication on my dashboard. Probably something i've done, just not sure what and would be nice to know...

It should only change if you remove ~/settings.json or run signalk-server-setup again

Normally, I would tell you to run signalk-server-setup, but I’m not sure how openplotter would handle that. Might want to ask over on their forum.

Not sure if this helps or i relevant, but here's a list of the SignalK plugins i have installed..

Convert SignalK to NMEA0183
Forward and filter NMEA 0183 input to NMEA0183 out
Raspberry-Pi 1-Wire
Singnal K to InfluxDB 2
SignalK to NMEA 2000 ( i might as well remove this as i dont have any NMEA2000)
VE.Direct to SignalK

Trying to recreate this - I have (had) mmsi declared in settings & now no uuid seems to get assigned..
At least it doesn´t show up in data browser.
Sorry , no help, just a little more mud in the waters.

that is really weird, never seen. corrupted settings.json file?

Clicking "Reinstall Signal K" in openplotter-signalk-installer has the same effect as running signalk-server-setup. you will loose all your settings in both cases.

I have now set my MMSI and the UUID is now not visible in the data browser

My dashboards are now displaying correctly using InfluxDB/Grafana

Thanks for your support.
