Installing NmeaConverter
#1
Hi,
I want to modify the RMB sentence coming from OpenCpn, as the statement has the origin and destination waypoint transposed. If you select a point and GoTo your origin should be waypoint 1 and the destination should be waypoint 2.  The RMB statement has them in reverse.

I know I could send it to SignalK and then convert SignalK data to NMEA but that seem very roundabout.

I am thinking of using the NmeaConverter plugin.  However it is not listed in the available plugins in OpenCpn and also apt-get install can't find it either.

I am running OpenCpn 5.6.2 and have all opdates installed.
How do I install NmeaConverter plugin?

The bug is fixed in the 5.7.1 beta releases, so you might find it easier to install the latest beta instead of playing with converters.

Thanks for that. I'll see if I can install the latest, without messing up my current setup.
However, I would still like to be able to install NmeaConverter in order to be able to manipulate NMEA sentences.
