Semi-automatic digital logbook for Signal K
#31
Just found and installed this.  Excellent and simple to use.
I think decision to allow a simple selection of time zone works well.  Local time is no good as you will het a disconnect on passage.  We usually have a single ships time throughout a passage even if we arrive in a different TZ.  And if it is only a brief (overnight/weekend) visit I don't bother adjusting the ships clocks.

I will explore more, but love how this have been implemented after our first passage.

[Edit: Your screenshot shows a column for "Wind" but mine shows "Weather" and is blank.  How does this get populated.  I believe that my SignalK has the appropriate paths for wind direction and speed.]

Just installed this a few months ago and it worked on my first test, had a few points and could see speed etc. But since then it doesn't log anything and shows no speed and zero points in between start and stop main point(s).

I believe my issue if the SOG sensor, it is a paddle wheel that gets clogged frequently and doesn't register speed correctly and frequently displays 0 knts. Is there any way to select a different sensor like the a GPS for the SOG parameter in the logbook?

Thanks

Very nice plugin. I would like to use the REST API to post some custom log entry (e.g. in case of alarms) from Node-Red but I couldn't understand how to do it. Do I need to use http request and in this case what url should I use?
As you can see I'm a beginner and I will appreciate any suggestion to help me.
