New MacArthur HAT - Testers Wanted
#7
(2023-03-23, 07:07 PM)Sailoog Wrote: Just for clarification, this HAT has been designed to be used with other HATs and devices so UART0 is not used. UART0 is free to be used by the Moitessier HAT (hacked), the dAISy HAT, the MAIANA AIS, the pypilot controller...

This is why we use UART3 for NMEA 0183-1 and UART3 for NMEA 0183-2.

Same for NMEA 2000, we use SPI0-1 instead of SPI0-0 which is used by lot of HATs and devices.

Ok - this makes Sense for me:
  • Optional GPS reception and AIS reception/transmission with the MAIANA AIS base kit. The MacArthur HAT has all the features of all MAIANA AIS adapters in one. Data connection by UART0.

Lets hope the needed RPI´s 4 for multipe UARTS get in Stock again soon.
