OpenPlotter on OrangePi 5
#1
Hi
Im posting here my notes how I adopt openplotter to work on the board OrangePi 5.
First of all not all is the same and working but I guess main functions  should work if you follow the steps from my notes.
Also I attach some screenshots.
I need to test it in reality as Im far away from the sea (AIS/VHF) the same for pypilot as I have no boat Big Grin
Some application windows dont open in VNC but I will work to make it opening (maybe related to VNC server application or some drivers as for direct conenction on HDMI cable all is opening fine on the sceen).
Any idea is appreciated Smile
Kindly

Problem with sdr++ and vnc (sdrpp_issue.png) solved -> sdrpp.png

1. I was trying with HDMI EDID emulator -> no success
2. Also tried with package xserver-xorg-video-dummy -> no success
3. TurboVNC -> no success , crashing

Fix:
sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-glx libegl1-mesa libgles2-mesa libgles2-mesa-dev
sudo apt-get install mesa-utils libgl1-mesa-glx
sudo apt-get install llvm llvm-dev

download virtualGL package from https://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualgl/ (https://virtualgl.org/)

sudo dpkg -i virtualgl_3.1_arm64.deb
reboot
sudo /opt/VirtualGL/bin/vglserver_config
sudo cd /etc/opt
sudo chmod 755 VirtualGL
reboot
as root/orangepi user:
touch ~/.Xauthority
xauth merge /etc/opt/VirtualGL/vgl_xauth_key

and to run sdr++ in VNC I do with: "vglrun sdrpp" in terminal

I have update my instruction -> version 2
Also I attach changed / used files -> files.tar.gz
Pypilot calibration works also under VNC on the same way as for SDR++
