Garbled characters when showing AIS data from Signalk to Raymarine chartplotter
#1
Hi!

I use Signalk as a broker to export ais-data from a Simrad AI-50 AIS to my Raymarine Axiom chart plotter.
Works great, except for the fact that all ships names have a number of garbage chars after the ship name when displaying it on the chart plotter.
When I view the data on Signalk, everything looks OK.
If I bypass Signalk, and connect the AI50 and Simrad directly using NMEA2000, everything looks correctly, but class B names does not show up.
So it looks like I have some encoding issues between Signalk and Raymarine.

Can anybody point me in the right direction so that I can get rid of these irritating names?
