NTP Server
#1
Do I need to have the NTP Server running.

I noticed there is a Tab for this in the Network App but nothing in the Docs yet.

I have no conflicting times so have left it off.

Hi Lazz, I dont believe you do unless you have something else on the network providing time in this way and you need to keep all the devices running to the same time, such as network switches or servers. This is traditional networking via the ethernet port rather than NMEA networking.

SignalK should be running a time sync that uses GPS.

Agreed, the NTP Server is there to act as a source of time to any devices that are attached to your OpenPlotter system via the Access Point, usually the Pi's onboard wifi.

Sorry, the documentation is not updated with that change but as bb an baltika say, enable the NTP server only if you need time in the devices connected to openplotter to be updated.
