Will PyPilot help me?
#1
I currently have a Raymarine Axiom+ chartplotter with a Raymarine autopilot.  Will PyPilot do anything for me?

Can PyPilot control my existing Raymarine autopilot?

Dear,
PyPilot cannot directly control a Raymarine autopilot because Raymarine uses proprietary SeaTalk/SeaTalkNG protocols, while PyPilot uses NMEA 0183. You would need a converter or additional hardware to bridge the two systems. PyPilot can be used as a standalone autopilot but won't integrate seamlessly with Raymarine. If you prefer flexibility and customization, PyPilot might be useful, but for seamless integration, sticking with Raymarine is more practical.
