I would like to promote an open source hardware/software design for a remote control for Raymarine Auto pilots that i'm working on.
It uses a 433mhz remote as well as a web interface that you can connect your phone to . This allows your phone to be also used as a remote as well as mapping buttons.
The firmware is upgradeable and development is on going. I am currently working on a TCPIP NMEA translater that'll take things like wind speed , speed through water etc and convert it to nmea sentences for use in Open CPN. It's partially there but still working on it .
