For SK I have no idea...
In AvNav you can suppress the alarm completely if it hurts too much.

How do you do this as i've not been able to stop the alarm from anywhere else.

Just add it to the blacklist in the AvNav SignalK handler. But this will only prevent it from being visible in AvNav - it will not clear it in SignalK.
