Raspberry Pi 5 (64Bit)
#1
Hi,

I tried to download the img from https://cloud.openmarine.net/s/mxrBi5K7z...it-img.zip. But apparently it does n't get recognised as a valid Raspberry Pi 5 image.

So i proceded with a new install from https://cloudsmith.io/~openplotter/repos/openplotter/packages/detail/deb/openplotter-settings/latest/a=all;d=debian%252Fbullseye;t=binary/  and started the installation from scratch.

After removing a third positional argument in one of the downloaded Python scripts the openplotter-settings program started and i was able to install next to every part of the Openplotter suite on the Raspberry Pi 5.

But ... I'm still strugling wth GPIO (I get an error for a variable that is not defined) and I do not seem to be getting the openplotter-*.desktop files to load in the openplotter category in the start menu.

Does somebody have any suggestions regarding those two caveats?

Furthermore, i find that OpenCPN isn't that stable on Raspberry Pi 5. Is someone noticing the same erratic behaviour? Any solutions?

Thanks in advance,

Koen.

I would suggest following the instructions here: https://openplotter.readthedocs.io/en/4....ading.html

and watching this thread: https://forum.openmarine.net/showthread.php?tid=5060

I have not found OCPN to be unstable at all
