OpenPlotter RPi4 not auto connecting to wifi
#1
Hi All,

Running new install of OP4 latest beta on a RPi4.

Ive configured openplotter to connect to my boat starlink wifi via the GUI. Ive left the default openplotter hotspot active.

The issue is that if the starlink wifi is on when openplotter boots up or is restarted, it connects fine, however openplotter is already running and the starlink wifi is switched off then back on again, openplotter doesnt auto reconnect to the starlink wifi.

I have verified that the 'connect automatically with priority' is checked and i have set the priority to 100.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hello

Yes, I remember about similar situation, too, but I thought it was only me doing something wrong - I configured my Wi-Fi network at very beginning, from RPi Imager.
Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what I did to fix but it was something related to the selection of the wireless device for "preconfigured" connection, which was lost after openplotter starting.
In the end I deleted the openplotter AP configuration which I don't need it.

If you remember the process, please share it here.
