Open CPN shows only small part of the chart
#1

To whom does this look familiar? I have been searching, but cannot find a solution.

Installing Open CPN on my Raspberry Pi 4b, downloaded some charts. But instead of showing the whole chart, it only displays a small segment of it. Always the exact same segment and i cannot get it to show anything more. What am i doing wrong, who knows?

See the photo taken from my screen to see what i mean.  Shy

Oh, and how can i prevent Open CPN from going to sleep after a couple of minutes?

does turning quilting on help?
In right hand menu or press the "q" button.
When turned on the piano keys at the bottom have rounded edges

Thanks for the tip, but quilting lets the charted region dissappear completely and leaves me with an empty chart. When i unquilt, the exact same region appears again.

Now an update was waiting, so having it installed and rebooted; still the same issue. Unfortunately quilting was not the solution.

"downloaded some charts"..
Which charts? Are they in a chart group?

That may be the issue.... Your answer got me thinking and indeed: never realised that i need a source to download the charts from! In the "Read the Docs", it is not clearly stated where to find charts at all, so i started to search more specifically. So i should go to O-charts i understand, and get them from there. Thanks for your answer! I will try again later this week and keep you informed.

Things are quite complicated for a full Raspberry Pi/Open Plotter noob... But willing to learn! Big Grin

Buying and installing charts from o-charts was indeed the solution. It works now and looks great! Now just play around a bit with all it's possibilities, see what it all does.
Thanks for the question/answer!  Smile
