Ramarine E series chart plotter and Radar
#1
A quick question while I'm waiting for delivery of a MacArthur HAT, when I connect up to SeaTalk, will I be able to get the radar feed from the Raymaring E80?  I believe the analogue radar signal is fed into the Raymarine, but I am not sure if it is accessible to OPEN CPM.

If I am not wrong, the E80 does not convert radar data to any of the well-known protocols Seatalk 1, NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000.

maybe over seatalk HS? - https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f13...073-2.html

Good point. Whatever you do, use only the RL45 connector of the Raspberry Pi, not the RJ45 connector of the MacArthur HAT. The MAcArthur HAT RJ45 connector can be used only with Maiana devices or you will damage devices.

Hi, It might work with an E80 over the ethernet port they use for slaving the devices. It doesn't work with a C80 as that's what I had.
