I initially (for a couple hours) had good success using Pi4 + MacArthur HAT with power module and NMEA2000, seeing data from the NMEA network and able to install a couple signal K plugins, etc. All was well. But all of a sudden, even though lights seemed lit and fine, I was getting no network activity and Pi was unresponsive. This was repeated across multiple SD cards and multiple Pi devices, so I'm thinking it comes down to MacArthur HAT -- what should I look at? This is with Openplotter headless v4. Thoughts?

If you take off the HAT and just try to start up the PI with an SD card, does it boot?

In addition, can you describe what the indicator lights on the HAT show? Which LED are lit, which do blink? Also, do you power the Pi from 12V or from USB?

I tried doing a fresh install on the other Pi 4 without HAT and I had an issue with Pi becoming unresponsive after I configured the CAN device (sans HAT still at that point). Hard booted a couple times and it seemed okay, then placed the HAT and added CAN connection to Signal K and so far (~2 hours) it seems okay. We will see if it lasts. I also did apply the new firmware via `sudo rpi-update` but I'm not 100% certain if that's the same issue I'm encountering. Indicator lights were all blinking to suggest things were good. All power was coming via 12v previously (while it was failing) and then I switched to USB power for Pi w/o HAT and then back to 12v power after I re-mounted the HAT. So I've had issues w/ HAT and w/o HAT. I've had issues w/ 12v power and USB power. It's a mystery to me at this point but hopefully things just continue to work at this point. One change is that I've not yet updated Signal K to latest release, so perhaps that could be related.
