Yes, still on 38400bps

Plotter is a Raymarine c95 MFD

I'll have another look at the plotter to see if I can find anything.

I had another look at the Raymarine plotter & everything looks as it should but in the diagnostics there is no NMEA0183 traffic for the particular port.

I had a dAISy receiver which I connected to the plotter using the same port but that didn't work either!!

So, I'm thinking I'll save up & get a MAIANA BLUE AIS USB + CAN Adapter & bypass the NMEA0183 interface & hook into the 2000.

sorry to hear about this issue. if you have time, you can try to dismantle the plotter and check for corrosion. the nmea0183 defective port could be a sign of this, and is better to check and clean, to prevent further issues

also, I see your plotter have 2 NMEA0183 inputs. did you tried both?

Port 1 is taken up by my autopilot & is working fine so I don't want to play with it!!

Port 2 is the faulty one

I'll have a look inside the plotter next time I have things apart!!

Thanks for your help Sebba, much appreciated!!

Henry

so? fixed or not fixed?

Sebba, I PM Dr Lyn and he replied me this , I expected he could also post it for the public, but he didn't notice that he had been asked, as he could reply me, but not in the thread.

Fortunately this is what he said: " Hi Aitonos, I managed to do the desoldering my self on two boards.  Since then both boards work perfectlly, one having been constantlly on for abt. 2 months.  The gps has been a bit unstable but i think this i due to electric noise on the boat and i have a backup for that, other than that it has been working perfectlly.' best regards"

I guess that 2 boards, 2 months ON it's very good...

Knowing this, I will do also the desoldering, but before I will try to solder the Serial adapter and plugit to the PI  to check. Will report.

My board is also the 11.9.1 hw version

Thanks!
New update:

I desoldered the mosfet as per the tutorial and since then, it's running smoothly. Just 1 time dropped when back to port and charged batteries with AC/DC charger and the charger went into Absortion mode. After finishing, Maiana went back to life on its own.

BTW, We directly bridged the 2 terminals as recommended.

Version 11.9.1

Thanks for the solution.
