Not Receiving AIS Data in SignalK
#1
Hi, I am using a Raspberry Pi 4 running Bookworm, OpenPlotter 4, Serial v4.0.10, and SignalK v2.6.2 and when I receive AIS data over the /dev/ttyUSB0 port and can view it with Putty. I have linked /dev/ttyUSB0 to /dev/ttyOP_ais to add to SignalK.

When I run ls /dev/tty* I see both /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyOP_ais, and ttyOP_ais also shows up in the SignalK console.

However, when I enable AIS in SignalK it recognizes the label as AIS and the type as NMEA0183, but does not receive any data. What is the cause? Thanks.

What Baud rate is it set to? Usually AIS receivers send at 38400
Also, where are you looking to see there is no ais messages coming in? In data browser you need to click the self drop down box to see other vessels data.
