Shutdown/Power off configuration and USB-C power
#1
Will the 'Shutdown/Power off' configuration (https://macarthur-hat-documentation.read...figuration) cause a Raspberry Pi 5 w. a Power module to shutdown right after the login prompt, if it is powered by USB-C (12V, GND and 12V SW are not connected). The shutdown seems to be controlled as the UI indicates that a shutdown script is being executed.

I did configure NMEA 2000 (https://macarthur-hat-documentation.read...figuration) and tried to upgrade with 'sudo apt upgrade' (resulting in an error) at the same time (before a reboot). I did too much at the same time, I know.

The problem is that I cannot access/change the configuration of my Raspberry Pi system before it shuts down. Next thing to try would be to power the system with 12V/12V SW, but I'm not close to my boat right now.

Yes, the shutdown will be triggered even if no 12V is connected.

If you can't change the configuration because don't have 12V available, you can simulate the closed 12V switch by connecting 3.3V (pin 1 or pin 17) to GPIO21 (pin 40).. or alternatively, remove the MacArthur HAT.

Appreciate the explanation, thanks a lot!

I did connect 3.3V (pin 1) to GPIO21 (pin 40) and the "automatic" shutdown of the system was disabled.
