Seatalk and Power module question
#1
Hi,

I just got the power module for the macarthur hat and i’m still wiring my raspberry pi to work with the boat and was following the documentation regarding Seatalk.

The wiring diagram shows that you have to wire it so that it powers on and powers off with the seatalk devices. I want to be able to power the pi even if the instruments are switched off and powering on seatalk devices when I need it.

Is this possible?I dont like the idea of having to power the Raymarine ST50 and S60just to get my Pi to run.

Thanks,
Fey

I don't have MacArthur hat but you don't need to power the Pi from Seatalk +12v
What wiring diagram do you have?
