Compass calibration - no sphere displayed, black screen?
#1
Is there a way to fix the compass (and accelerometer) calibration screens not showing the blue sphere, but only a black screen?  If it makes any difference, I installed each of Openplotter, OpenCPN and the Pypilot plugin in or after February 2025 and I'm running the latest Raspi OS with Wayland on a Raspi Pi 4B 2GB.

If this issue can't be fixed, does the compass calibration still work even if the sphere is not displayed, but you rotate and move the recommended IMU in the usual way?

Update:  could the issue be the sphere graphics require X11 but I'm running Wayland?  If so, is there a workaround, as I can't run X11, but need Wayland for key functionality of my Raspi?

Thanks!

can you run the pypilot_web service and connect with another device? It has the calibration plot.

Alternately opencpn should display it as well in the pypilot plugin

Try X11 maybe?
