#1
Hi all,

First of all thanks , a lot, to Pablo for his job

see thread  Modular case for Raspberry Pi 5 + miscellaneous HATs  for the details,

jump to Modular case for Raspberry Pi 5 + miscellaneous HATs par Nas | Téléchargez gratuitement un modèle STL | Printables.com
to get the files,
.stl are ok for printing , (or send to 3D printer service).
.step are great to use in CAD software (you may try fusion 360 there is a free version)

you can find a complete rpi4 here to get in your CAD software Raspberry Pi 4 Model B | 3D CAD Model Library | GrabCAD

with this model you can follow this great tuto to create your own case.
Fusion 360 Snap Fit Cases | 3D-Printable Raspberry Pi Case - Product Design Online

you can also use this rpi4 case as a model Raspberry Pi 4 Case | 3D CAD Model Library | GrabCAD  it "just" need a part for the macArthur.

In this thread, I will share my experience with the case from PAblo.
I will print "as is" and make feeds back

Hi Pablo.
the spacer seems ok.
but I have an issue with base.
not enough space I have to leave bolts so the border of the base is not high enough.
I will make the modification and reprint the base.

does the spacer supposed to be the eight of the rpi (/the HAT)  with PCB thickness included ?

Hi Gildas.

Yes, the spacer is supposed to be the same height as the PI4.

I am not sure I understand your problem: do you need to have threaded posts under the Pi 4 but inside the case?

sorry I have to explain it is 2 different photos.
one is just the base, as you can the base is bending , because there are some soldering under the rj45 plug.

so I added 4 nuts (female screw ?) .
I modifier the model, I added 5mm so that the base won't touch the pi.
I have to print it and test and let you know

Ok, I see now.

Maybe it would be a good idea to increase the height of the standard base to give room for thick soldering in the underside.

5 mm seems a lot, do you really need that or would be enough with half that?
