Integrating GPS and AIS Signals from Furuno GP-32 and Standard Horizon GX2200E
#1
Hey Guys!

I always planned to get my Boat-Electronics updated, but now that my Autopilot died I have to do that earlier than expected. Actually I am planning to get a Raspberry 5 with a Mac Arthur Hat from OpenMarine and a PyPilot HAT + Motor controller from NaviTop.

On Board I have a Furuno GP-32 and a Standard Horizon GX2200E VHF with AIS.

Do you know, if I can use the GPS signal from the GP-32 and the AIS from the GX2200E for OpenPlotter? They both have NMEA Connection as far as I understood that. But since I am compeltely new to the whole subject I am not sure.

Otherwise I am thinking about getting the MAIANA Antenna, but if it is not necessary I would like to safe me that money.

Best regards,
Johannes
