After spending hours with openmarine AI, I am here with the hope that someone can help me.
Upon opening OpenCPN I get a message about distribution with the indication to either accpet or cancel.
Unfortunately there are no buttons in the window, even when maximised
The only option is to close the window which results in it crashing.
Upon reopening i get the option to start in safe mode, which I also treid, with exactly the same results. Window, no buttons, crash
Recomended fixes from openMarine AI that I treid , also without any success:
-delete user config and new setup:
rm -rf ~/.opencpn
-Check system GPU and drivers up to date:
sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade
-completely uninstall opencpn and reinstall
-uninstall opencpn and install flatpak
also many other things, the list is long. seems nothing seems to work.
The only clue I have is that this command:
sudo apt update
throws an error about a bookwork release not found.
